Job summary

Invenergy in Chicago is seeking a Manager, Insurance (Captive Management) to oversee day-to-day operations, reporting, and strategic planning for Invenergy's captive insurance company. Reporting to the Vice President, Insurance, you will partner with Legal, Finance, Project Management, Asset Management, IT, and third-party providers to expand the captive program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Insurance Risk Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience (insurance, risk management, finance, etc.).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent oral and written communication; able to communicate clearly.

Responsibilities

• Leverage brokers, reinsurers, and agents to identify captive structures and evaluate terms.
• Collaborate with leaders to perform risk assessments and cost-benefit analyses for captive placements.
• Prepare investment committee presentations for new captive product structures.
• Coordinate with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, and captive service providers to maintain records.
• Oversee insurance and reinsurance applications and documentation.
• Manage premiums billing, collateral, and reserve/IBNR reviews.
• Support claims management and regulatory submissions; assist board meetings.
• Assist in expanding use of Invenergy's captive insurance program.
