Eastern Shipbuilding Group, Inc. in Port Saint Joe, FL seeks an experienced Boat Captain with minimum 5 years at sea to operate and navigate vessels safely, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead the crew during sea trials.

You will perform safety checks, develop voyage plans, coordinate cargo operations, communicate with port authorities, and oversee vessel maintenance. A Captain’s license and STCW certification are required.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED with 3+ years as sea trial captain
• STCW certification required
• Valid captain’s license (OICNW) required
• TWIC card preferred

• Operate and navigate the vessel safely and efficiently
• Ensure compliance with maritime laws and regulations
• Supervise and manage ship crew during sea trials
• Conduct regular safety checks and drills
• Coordinate loading and unloading of cargo
• Develop voyage plans and conduct risk assessments
• Communicate with port authorities and other vessels
• Oversee maintenance and repair of the vessel
• Handle emergencies and coordinate search and rescue operations
• Perform other duties as assigned
