Oyster 745 | Atlantic Crossing & Caribbean Programme | Oyster World Rally 2030 | Long-Term Opportunity
STARTING NOVEMBER 2026, we are looking for a Captain/Engineer & Mate/Cook/All-Rounder couple team to join this superb condition Oyster 745 for an Atlantic crossing to the Caribbean and a long-term cruising programme.
The yacht will depart for the Caribbean in November with the owner and son aboard for their first transatlantic experience. Much of the next two years will be geared towards helping the owner become the Captain of his own yacht with the exciting long term goal to participate in theOyster World Rally 2030. For this first year or two, we are looking for a confident Captain who is very comfortable sailing and maintaining the systems on this sized yacht and who also enjoys encouraging an owning family to learn about sailing and systems management as well as being part of a great crew team.
Owner use is expected to be relatively light throughout the upcoming 26/27 Caribbean season, although there is the possibility of charter activity during these winter months (to be confirmed).
The Captain/Engineer should be comfortable managing all aspects of yacht operations and maintenance, whilst the Mate/ Cook should hold a YM qualification and enjoy cooking for owners and guests when required. This is not a dedicated chef role, as the owners also enjoy cooking themselves, so a flexible, all-round approach is far more important than formal culinary experience.
