CAPSAW DIRECTOR
The Community Action Partnership of Staunton, Augusta, and Waynesboro (CAPSAW) strengthens the region by investing federal, state, and local resources into programs that reduce the causes and conditions of poverty. Through competitive grants, strategic partnerships, and data-driven community planning, CAPSAW supports a network of nonprofits that deliver effective, measurable services to low-income families.
We are seeking a mission-focused, collaborative, and highly organized Executive Director to lead CAPSAW into its next chapter.
The Executive Director is the chief administrative officer of CAPSAW and is responsible for overall leadership, strategic direction, and operational management. This includes oversight of all planning, grantmaking, compliance, fiscal administration, and community partnerships.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively with local governments, nonprofit partners, state agencies, and the CAPSAW Board of Directors, and a commitment to community-centered approaches.
Hours: Full-time
Compensation: Employee position ($72,000-78,000 annual range)
Location: Hybrid — remote work with in-person presence across Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro
