Job summary

Staunton City & Schools seeks a mission-driven CAPSAW Director to lead the community action partnership across Staunton, Augusta County, and Waynesboro. The role oversees grants, compliance, and strategic planning with strong board interaction.

The Executive Director will coordinate with local governments and nonprofit partners, maintain fiscal oversight, and champion equity-focused community engagement in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Experience in nonprofit management, public administration, social services, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee CAPSAW-funded programs, grants, and compliance.
• Lead planning, CSBG applications, strategic plans, and reporting.
• Manage budgets, audits, and monitoring visits.
• Represent CAPSAW in local and regional coalitions and with partners.
