Job description

Projects & Events Coordinator

Full-Time | Reports to the Chief of Staff

CAPSA provides safety, healing, and hope for individuals and families impacted by domestic violence and sexual assault. As CAPSA continues to grow, we are excited to introduce a new Projects & Events Coordinator role focused on helping turn ideas into action through well-organized projects, meaningful community events, and strong collaboration with staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners. This position supports organizational initiatives that strengthen CAPSA's services, build community connections, increase awareness, and advance our mission throughout the communities we serve.

The Projects & Events Coordinator works closely with staff, volunteers, community partners, donors, and stakeholders to ensure projects and events are planned, coordinated, implemented, and documented effectively. This may include coordinating fundraising events, awareness month activities, employee appreciation events, conferences, and other organizational initiatives.

Someone successful in this role is highly organized, follows through on commitments, and enjoys helping teams accomplish shared goals. They build strong relationships, communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and take ownership of moving work from planning to completion. They understand that meaningful results are often achieved through consistent follow-up, attention to detail, collaboration, and accountability.

At CAPSA, we value respect, impactful productivity, adaptive operational excellence, innovation, and deep community connections. We are looking for someone who shares those values and wants to help strengthen both our organization and the communities we serve.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience coordinating projects, events, programs, committees, or other collaborative initiatives preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently while building positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and to CAPSA's mission.

Experience with project management systems or event planning tools is helpful but not required. We can teach tools and processes. We are looking for someone who is dependable, adaptable, collaborative, and persistent in helping important work reach completion.

Join CAPSA and help create meaningful experiences, stronger systems, and lasting impact for survivors, families, and communities.
