City of Broken Arrow is seeking a CAPRA accreditation coordinator for the Parks and Recreation Department to manage accreditation tasks and coordinate cross-functional teams. The role ensures compliance with CAPRA standards and supports annual reviews for updated accreditation evidence.
The position also serves as NRPA liaison, updates standards, and leads reaccreditation every five years, with emphasis on policy development and performance metrics to advance department goals.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for coordinating cross-functional teams for completing CAPRA required tasks, document creation, facilitating annual document review to maintain updated evidence of compliance, completing all tasks required for annual CAPRA audits, maintaining the department’s Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA) accreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies via the National Recreation and Parks Association (NRPA).

Essential Job Functions:
Minimum Education and Experience:
Requires a High School Diploma or GED equivalent, supplemented with one to three years of related experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred in course of study related to the field, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a CPR/First Aid and AED certification and a valid Class D Driver's License issued by the State of Oklahoma.
Physical Requirements:
Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort in medium work, typically involving some combination of balancing, crouching, feeling, handling, hearing, kneeling, mental acuity, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, talking, visual acuity, walking and which involves some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of objects and materials of moderate weight (up to 50 pounds).
Tasks may involve extended periods of time at a keyboard or workstation.
