The Wyoming Highway Patrol is seeking former Troopers with Advanced or Professional P.O.S.T. Certification to join as a full-time Trooper II in Cheyenne, WY.

This at-will position offers flexible full-time hours to fit agency needs and an opportunity to support executive protection for the Capitol and related buildings. The role emphasizes strong communication with the public, colleagues, and stakeholders, and requires the ability to work irregular hours, respond to incidents, and operate safely

Formación

• Former Trooper with Advanced or Professional P.O.S.T. Certification, or equivalent from other states, encouraged to apply.
• Ability to work flexible full-time hours and at-will employment status.
• Strong knowledge of statutes, procedures, and safety protocols relevant to executive protection.

Responsabilidades

• Provide security for the Capitol Complex and executive or dignitary protection.
• Promote safety awareness activities, public speaking, and citizen assistance.
• Maintain communication with public, peers, chain of command, and stakeholders under stress.
