Job summary

Stand Together is seeking a Government Affairs Intern to support the Georgia Public Policy Foundation’s policy efforts from our Atlanta, GA office. You will work on housing, regulatory reform, taxes, education, and healthcare, drafting policy one-pagers, tracking legislation, and coordinating meetings with legislators.

The role is paid and full-time, with on-site days at the Georgia Capitol and opportunities for policy research and writing.

Qualifications

• Applicants must align with the mission of the Georgia Public Policy Foundation and the free-market principles it upholds.
• Business professional attire is required.
• Role is in-person, based in Atlanta, Georgia.

Responsibilities

• Support the Director of Government Affairs in executing the Foundation’s government affairs strategy.
• Draft policy one-pagers and other materials.
• Track legislation, committee activity, and votes on priority issues; maintain tracking files.
• Coordinate meetings and events with legislators, coalition partners, and stakeholders, including scheduling and logistics.
• Attend legislative hearings and committee meetings; report back to staff.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
