The Georgia Public Policy Foundation is seeking a Government Affairs Intern to support housing, regulatory reform, taxes, education, and healthcare policy efforts in Atlanta, GA. This full‑time role will involve drafting policy one‑pagers, tracking legislation, coordinating meetings with legislators and stakeholders, and attending hearings and events.

Ideal candidates are professional, discreet, and capable of handling confidential information.

Qualifications

• Applicants must align with the Georgia Public Policy Foundation's mission and free‑market principles.
• Basic understanding of Google Meet, Slides, and Docs is required.

Responsabilités

• Support the Director of Government Affairs in executing the Foundation’s government affairs strategy.
• Draft one‑pagers and other policy materials.
• Track legislation, committee activity, and votes on the Foundation’s priority issues, and maintain legislative tracking files.
• Help coordinate meetings and events with legislators, coalition partners, and stakeholders, including scheduling, materials, and logistics.
• Attend legislative hearings, committee meetings, and events as needed, and report back to staff.
• Assist with other duties and projects as assigned.
