Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Atlanta invites an enthusiastic Legislative Session Intern to assist the Policy Advocacy team during the 2027 Georgia legislative session. The role blends research, bill tracking, and committee hearing notes, with in-person Capitol presence 1–2 days weekly.

This in-depth internship offers exposure to immigrant justice advocacy, networking with policy professionals, and a chance to help create community-facing materials.

Qualifications

• Current or recent undergraduate or graduate student preferred.
• Ability to commit to full spring semester internship (January 2027–April 2027).
• In-person availability at Georgia State Capitol 1–2 days per week during session and occasional meetings in Norcross.

Responsabilités

• Support preparation for 2027 state legislature with issue research and bill tracking.
• Take notes at committee hearings (online or in-person).
• Create accessible one-pagers on bills for community use.
