Job summary

The Architect of the Capitol in Washington, DC is seeking temporary Painters for the 120th Congressional Moves Transition. Painters will apply coating and finishing techniques to furnishings and building surfaces, following standard methods.

This role requires a six-day work week with overtime possible, and may be mandatory in some cases. The position supports preservation of Capitol facilities and visitor spaces.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform journey-level painter duties with an appropriate level of supervision.
• Sufficient training and/or experience to perform duties as described; must meet the vacancy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Paint furnishings and building surfaces using standard methods and finishing techniques.
• Work six days a week with overtime may be required and in some cases may be mandatory.
