Job summary

Georgetown University’s Office of Emergency Management (OEM) seeks a capable professional to support campus-wide emergency planning, training and exercises at the Capitol Campus and across all campuses in Washington, DC.

The role reports to the OEM Director, requires a bachelor’s degree and at least one year of relevant experience, and offers 24/7 readiness during emergencies with a strong emphasis on collaboration, outreach and resilience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution and at least 1 year of emergency management experience.
• Experience developing emergency plans and COOP.
• Ability to work under pressure and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operationalize the University EOP and COOP plans.
• Design, implement, and evaluate preparedness-related training and exercises.
• Staff the EOC during emergencies and planned events.
• Coordinate with internal and external partners to enhance readiness.
