The Capital Development Strategy Intern at QTS Realty Trust in Ashburn, VA will be immersed in data-driven research and reporting for capital spend across current and future project portfolios.

You will collaborate with Development, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement to maintain cost projections, support capital requests, and develop new processes to improve program management. The Virginia salary range is $19.50–$29.82 per hour; benefits are included.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting, Finance, or related program
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel for data analysis and budgeting
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Development, Finance, Accounting, and Procurement teams on strategic capital initiatives
• Support new development capital project requests and approvals in monthly senior executive committee meetings
• Maintain and create cost projections for greenfield construction and incremental site builds
• Work on equipment procurement and delivery processes
• Develop new processes and documentation to improve capital project management
• Apply industry-leading practices to improve overall business performance
