Job summary

Hargrove is seeking a Project Manager to lead capital and expense projects from concept through startup in Longview, Texas. You will steer scope, schedule, and budget, coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction, operations, and maintenance to maximize project value.

Ideal candidates have a BS/MS in engineering and 3+ years in capital projects or turnaround management, with PMP or PE preferred.

• 3+ years of project management experience in capital projects and turnaround management.
• Strong understanding of capital processes from definition to startup.
• Outstanding communication, coordination, and team leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead project planning, resourcing, cost control, and schedule to deliver the investment in accordance with business objectives and customer requirements
• Coordinate the development and maintenance of project plans and associated documents
• Regularly evaluate and mitigate issues that create project risk to meeting objectives
• Closely track and communicate project progress to stakeholders
• Develop scope of 3rd party process units and arrange technical support as required in construction and start up
• Ensure involvement and coordination of appropriate personnel in EPCOM
• Interface with engineering and construction contractors
• Use strict change management protocol to manage scope & schedule impacts
• Work with Project Controls to monitor, report, and document progress and deviations
• Provide direction to Project Team on schedule and cost issues
• Lead teams on work process improvement and project-related issues
• Consider safety, cost and schedule to achieve best overall value
• Responsible and accountable for project from concept to startup
