Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college.
• Eight years of engineering design, maintenance, construction projects, and/or field operations related to public works, hydrology, flood control, and/or urban development.
• Four years of supervisory experience in an office and/or field environment.
• Experience working with government agencies and their governing bodies.
• Valid Class "C" Texas Driver’s License.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.

Aufgaben

• Oversee the management of all project phases assigned to the CIP department, including hydrology and hydraulic (H&H) studies, right-of-way acquisition, engineering, bid documents, construction contract award, and engineering issues during construction and project close-out.
• Oversee the scope, schedule, and budget of all capital improvement projects assigned to the department.
• Provide guidance on assessing the capacity of resources and management for synchronized project launches.
• Ensure proper and accurate financial reporting of programs and projects within the department.
• Develop methods to resolve and minimize the impact of problems on project schedules and budgets.
• Perform periodic personnel reviews and recommend adjustments.
• Attend department staff meetings, meetings with coordinating departments, vendors, and agencies.
• Attend seminars, conference workshops, re-certification, or other training programs.
• Assume additional responsibilities as required, adapting to the evolving demands, responsibilities, needs, and objectives of the District.
