Oglebay Park is seeking a Construction Project Manager to oversee capital projects and related budgets in Wheeling, WV. You will coordinate with the Director of Projects and VP of Administration to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget.

You will lead a small team, manage procurement processes, and communicate progress to stakeholders. A Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management is required, with experience in government-funded projects and Smartsheet familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or Management or equivalent.
• Experience leading capital projects and managing budgets.
• Strong communication with staff, clients and executives.
• Ability to delegate, motivate and resolve conflicts within a team.
• Familiarity with Smartsheet or similar project-tracking tools.

Responsabilités

• Manage Capital Projects and Capital purchases for both Oglebay and Wheeling Park.
• Identify the scope and potential associated cost of each project.
• Work collaboratively with all contractors and internal staff to ensure completion on time and within budget.
• Review progress of projects and advise of updates or changes to cost and/or completion time.
• Provide weekly updates to Director of Projects and VP of Administration.
• Understand governmental requirements and technicalities of government funded projects.
• Help create both long term and short term plans with milestones and deadlines.
• Set up cost centers and monitor budget upkeep in Smartsheet.
• Follow PO processes and manage assigned budgets.
• Coordinate with Wheeling Park leadership to align project goals.
• Delegate tasks to contractors and staff to best fit the project needs.
• Make informed decisions when multiple options exist for progress.
• Serve as point of contact for teams to maintain project synergy.
• Direct quality control across projects to uphold standards.
• Adjust schedules and targets as finances or needs change.
• Evaluate drawings and specs to determine requirements for success.
• Assist in creating bid documents and manage pre-bid/bid meetings.
