Are you ready to take on exciting infrastructure projects that shape the community? We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Capital Projects Manager to lead and deliver complex projects from start to finish! Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development of project plans, schedules, and budgets
• Review bids and recommend awards, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations

• Monitor project activities, mitigate risks, and escalate issues when necessary
• Prepare and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and forecasting needs
• Utilize best practices in project management for consistent successful outcomes
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years in comprehensive project management experience on a variety of complex project assignments varying in complexity, scale, and cost, specifically in municipal public works or similar environments
• Licensure: Valid driver’s license &Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in the Commonwealth of Virginia(or abilitytoobtain within 6 months)
• Skills & Knowledge: Strong understanding of municipal engineering principles, project management practices, and relevant software (Microsoft Office, CAD, GIS)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in municipal public works management or project management in a government setting
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
