Job summary

MP Materials is seeking a Capital Projects Project Manager to lead the delivery of a ~250,000 square foot magnetics manufacturing facility. This role owns strategic and tactical project management after concept release, manages external contractors from scope development to start-up, and collaborates with Design Firms, EPCs, OEMs, and internal teams to deliver safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction management is required.
5+ years in project leadership in industrial/high-tech manufacturing.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and documentation.
Experience with cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.

Responsibilities

Lead execution of assigned capital projects from concept through start-up.
Monitor engineering, procurement, and construction progress; mitigate risks.
Coordinate with design firms, EPCs, OEMs, and internal stakeholders.
Review scope changes for validity and cost impact; incorporate them on approval.
Communicate project status up, out, and down to leadership and teams.
Support future project concept development and cost/timeline estimates.
