Job summary

BOCC Bay County Board of County Commissioners is seeking an experienced professional to support the Capital Projects Division Manager in the design and construction of County Capital Improvement Projects. The role involves site inspections, ensuring projects are on time and on budget, and coordinating with consultants and contractors.

Responsibilities include preparing bids and RFQ/ITB documents, reviewing plans and estimates, monitoring scope, cost and schedule, and producing regular reports

Qualifications

Associates' degree in construction management, building construction, architecture, engineering or related field.
Five years of related Commercial construction experience and/or training.
Ability to obtain a valid Florida driver license after offer.

Responsibilities

Assists the Capital Projects Division Manager with management of design professionals and contractors.
Performs site inspections and ensures projects stay on time and on budget.
Prepares, negotiates, and manages task orders; oversees RFQ/ITB/RFP processes.
Reviews plans and estimates; prepares reports for upper management and stakeholders.
