Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a Finance Cost Engineer to manage financial operations and cost controls for infrastructure projects at our foundry. You will track CapEx, forecast cash flow, review pay apps, and partner with project management, procurement, and compliance teams.

This role requires a proactive problem-solver in a fast-paced environment, with strong Excel modeling and knowledge of contracting methods. All positions are full-time and on-site with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced understanding of capital project lifecycle stages from design through close-out.
• Deep knowledge of construction contracting methods (Lump Sum, Cost Plus, T&M).
• Strong grasp of standard accounting principles and CapEx depreciation rules.
• Expert-level spreadsheet skills for large data sets and forecasting.
• Ability to build and validate cost models and variance analyses.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain dynamic cost-tracking databases and CBS.
• Review contractor and vendor billing against progress on site.
• Perform independent cost estimates for change orders and claims.
• Conduct monthly variance analysis against budgets and forecasts.
• Coordinate close-out audits, final accounting reconciliations, and retention releases.
• Implement value-compliance processes to optimize CapEx efficiency.
