Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking an experienced engineer to lead project management and factory-wide initiatives for planning and start-up of a new semiconductor factory. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage equipment move-in, start-up, and macro planning across departments.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years in facilities or high-volume manufacturing, strong communication skills, and a focus on customer service, teamwork, and flexibility.

Qualifications

  • 4 Year degree in STEM.
  • 6+ years of experience in facilities or high-volume manufacturing.
  • Experience with project management is preferred.
  • Industrial equipment hook-up experience highly preferred.
  • Factory start-up / retrofit experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills are required to communicate technical content to various organizations.
  • Successful candidates should be detail and task oriented and place high value on customer service, teamwork and flexibility.

Responsibilities

  • Support expansion planning, including forecasting of the budgeting, installation and qualification of equipment.
  • Coordinate, manage, and report on multiple assigned projects regarding work progress, project accounting, and forecasted schedule.
  • Willingness to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
  • Solve problems: assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/ or resolve the problem.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Measure project performance, report and elevate to management as needed.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
  • Creates and updates project scope for complex individual projects.
  • Setup timelines/schedules & present to the customer.
  • Develops & maintains necessary records & files for efficient operation.
