Job summary

Denver Water in Denver, CO is seeking an experienced engineering leader to direct, plan, and administer design for capital projects. You will oversee design criteria, quality control, and contract administration for all facilities related to the water system.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required.
• Master’s degree preferred in Engineering, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 12 years of related work experience with at least 5 years in supervision.
• PMP Certification required.
• Colorado driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Direct engineering design and contract documents for facilities.
• Manage budgets, capital projects, and staffing.
• Develop Denver Water engineering standards and procedures.
• Oversee project implementation and cross-functional coordination.
• Negotiate contracts and resolve claims.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and risk management.
• Respond to emergencies requiring engineering support.
• Represent the Chief Engineering Officer in meetings.
• Perform related duties as required.
