Job summary

The Judge Group seeks a Project Engineer in Murfreesboro, TN to lead capital projects from concept through installation and handover. You will own the full lifecycle and coordinate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain to meet scope, schedule, and budget.

Key duties include equipment specs, procurement management, installation oversight, SAT, and continuous improvement to enhance reliability and throughput, while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in manufacturing/engineering environment
• Proficiency with AutoCAD / AutoCAD LT
• Strong foundation in process engineering principles, fluid dynamics, and automated manufacturing systems
• Proven ability to manage complex timelines, prioritize competing deliverables, and execute budgets

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects from concept through commissioning and handoff.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, R&D, and Supply Chain to support plant operations while delivering project milestones.
• Develop technical specifications and engineering solutions for processing equipment and systems.
• Manage equipment procurement, RFQ development, bid evaluations, and vendor performance.
• Oversee equipment installation, commissioning, testing, and startup activities (SAT).
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance reliability, throughput, and quality.
• Maintain project schedules, budgets, and change management with stakeholders.
• Ensure safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance, with proper documentation.
