Capital Projects Engineer

Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Capital Projects Engineer to lead initiatives from concept through startup at our industrial sites in Illinois. You will own scope, schedules, estimates, and business cases, coordinating across engineering, procurement, construction and operations teams.

You will manage contractors, RFQs, commissioning activities and project documentation while supporting plant troubleshooting and closeout. Travel to project sites is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related).
• 5+ years supporting capital projects in heavy industrial environments.
• Experience with project execution, cost estimates, schedules, and contractor management.
• Strong understanding of FEL (Front End Loading) project development.
• Ability to travel extensively to project sites.
• PMP Certification and financial analysis experience.
• Thermal processing, coke, steel, mining, power generation, or manufacturing background.
• MS Project experience.
