Job summary

Hines is seeking a Construction Manager of Capital Projects to serve as the Owner’s representative for infrastructure improvements across Manhattan and the East region. You will lead project teams, manage scope, schedule, budget, and ownership requirements, coordinating with architects, engineers, and contractors.

Ideal candidates bring a bachelor’s degree in construction science or engineering, five years in construction with management exposure, and strong skills in PM Web, budgeting, and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction science, engineering or related field.
• Five years of general contractor or construction experience with two years in management.
• Experience in planning, design and construction of integrated MEP systems.
• Familiarity with PM Web or similar project management software.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate expert understanding of Construction Drawings and Documentation.
• Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to define project scope and delivery methods.
• Assist in preparation of early project budgets and capital improvement projections.
• Prepare bi-weekly and as-needed construction updates for ownership.
• Manage and develop Assistant Construction Managers as needed.
• Direct activities of architects/engineers in preconstruction drawings and construction administration.
• Review drawings for compliance with standards and design basis.
• Monitor cost estimates, budgets, change orders, and client reports.
• Develop bid packages and procure proposals in line with policies.
• Monitor contractor performance against budget, schedule, and owner's program.
