Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Capital Project Engineer to lead end-to-end capital projects in a manufacturing setting. You will plan scopes, schedules, and budgets, and coordinate across Operations, Engineering, and Finance to ensure on-time delivery within budget.

You will collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering to introduce new technologies and drive multi-year capital improvement plans while maintaining safety, regulatory compliance, and quality standards in a fully onsite Oshkosh environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent.
• 5+ years in manufacturing environment.
• 5+ years in project/administrative roles, preferably capital project.
• Capital equipment knowledge in manufacturing.
• Understanding of engineering theories and practical application.
• Proficient with MS Office.
• 2D CAD experience (DraftSight/AutoCAD).
• Hands-on experience in technical manufacturing roles.
• Strong project management and engineering skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end capital project execution from concept to handoff.
• Develop scopes, schedules, and capital budgets.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance.
• Manage vendors, tenders, and contracts.
• Monitor progress and budget, manage risks and corrective actions.
• Lead project communications and stakeholder alignment.
• Contribute to capital budgets and long-range capital plans.
• Collaborate with R&D and Product Engineering to introduce new tech.
• Support facility upgrades and equipment replacement plans.
• Ensure safety and regulatory compliance across project phases.
• Drive continuous improvement and best practices in capital projects.
