Job summary

City of New York’s Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) seeks a Capital Analyst to support the Division of Capital Planning in funding affordable housing projects across the five boroughs.

You will help manage CP processes, review submissions, and coordinate with the Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget, shaping a $20 billion ten-year capital strategy while learning budgeting procedures and real estate finance for housing development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree plus two years of community work or related duties.
• High school diploma with six years of relevant experience.
• Equivalent combination of education/experience with at least one year in similar duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital funding requests for affordable housing projects.
• Review submissions and assess budgetary and policy implications; liaise with stakeholders.
• Prepare briefing materials, memos, and reports for CP approval.
