Job summary

Clearbrook Group Services Inc. is seeking a Capital Analyst to support regulatory (BSCR) and rating agency capital models.

The role collaborates with ERM, Finance, actuarial, and risk functions to deliver analyses, reports, and capital insights used in strategic decision-making across Clearbrook. The position is a 100% in-office role based in Omaha, NE, with flexibility to consider Albany, NY, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL offices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, mathematics, actuarial science, or related field required.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience in insurance, financial analysis, capital modeling, or risk management.
• Exposure to regulatory capital frameworks (BSCR, Solvency II or similar) preferred.
• Experience supporting credit rating agency capital models (S&P, AM Best, Fitch) preferred.
• Progress toward insurance, actuarial, or accounting qualifications is an advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to interpret financial and capital model outputs and communicate insights effectively.
• Effective stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a structured environment.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools; modeling tools a plus.
• Collaborative mindset with cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Support Bermuda Solvency filings (Argo Group and Argo Re) with focus on completeness and timelines.
• Own components of the BSCR process including data prep, validation, and documentation.
• Assist in Bermuda Monetary Authority filings (e.g., GSSA) to articulate solvency position.
• Support capital models for rating agencies, coordinating data requests and responses.
• Analyze outputs to identify drivers of change in capital metrics.
• Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders, including senior management.
• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, Actuarial, and Ceded Reinsurance teams for inputs and validation.
• Communicate capital insights and respond to routine internal queries.
• Contribute to ad hoc capital scenario analyses for Board/management needs.
• Maintain working knowledge of BSCR and rating agency model components.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and process efficiency.
