Job summary

Clearbrook Holdings Inc. seeks a Lead Capital Actuary to steer regulatory and rating agency capital models for the group. This on-site role in Omaha, NE, or alternatively Albany, NY, New York, NY, or Chicago, IL requires senior interaction with CRO, CFO, and CEO across finance and risk.

The candidate will design capital strategy, build forecasting dashboards, and ensure governance and accurate metrics for stakeholders and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial, Finance, or Science.
• Qualified actuary.
• 8+ years of experience in capital function including modelling and analysis.
• Knowledge of factor-based models, especially US RBC and BCAR.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Develop and refine capital, liquidity, and dividend strategy with senior leadership.
• Build real-time and forecasted views of capital position aligned with plans.
• Design a framework to maximize capital efficiency across the organization.
• Embed capital metrics into strategic decision-making and governance.
• Lead end-to-end capital function projects and deliverables.
• Support portfolio optimization and underwriting strategy development.
• Provide capital metrics to senior management, regulators, and rating agencies.
• Enhance model governance and documentation processes.
• Produce quarterly capital dashboards showing solvency position across models.
• Collaborate with CRO and ERM to support ORSA stress/scenario modelling.
• Influence and communicate with diverse functions to obtain buy-in.
