Job summary

BRG is launching a capital markets advisory group and seeks a Consultant or Managing Consultant to oversee engagement workstreams across regulatory compliance, risk management, and client advisory projects. You will work directly with senior professionals to deliver actionable solutions for financial institutions.

In this role you will help build a new practice, contribute to frameworks, mentor junior staff, and support business development. Travel to client sites is required where needed.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of regulatory compliance, supervision, or risk management experience in financial institutions or consulting.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent work experience.
• Strong MS Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint, with ability to present analyses.
• Strong verbal and written communication, team-oriented, and ability to manage processes and junior staff.
• Ability to travel to client sites as needed.
• Six or more years of direct experience assessing or advising on compliance with SEC/FINRA/CFTC/NFA/state requirements is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior professionals to execute financial institution advisory projects related to regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of frameworks for compliance and risk management programs.
• Assess client policies, procedures, and controls against leading practices and industry frameworks; identify gaps and provide recommendations.
• Plan and execute assigned tasks; support project administration and client communications.
• Apply problem-solving and tools to develop client solutions and present findings to engagement leads.
• Participate in practice meetings, business development, and staff training and recruiting.
• Lead the development and implementation of risk-management frameworks in engagements.
• Plan and manage client engagements including budget and day-to-day relationships.
• Manage project work by delegating tasks and reviewing deliverables for accuracy.
