Job summary

IDB Invest in Washington, DC is offering an undergraduate internship in Knowledge Management and Case Analysis for winter 2027. The role focuses on assisting Investment Officers, preparing investment committee materials, and analyzing debt capital markets data.

You will develop skills in Power BI, Excel, and data analytics while supporting cross-functional teams across risk, legal, and administration. This is a full-time, two-month internship with fixed dates in January–March 2027.

Qualifications

• Active undergraduate student in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Accounting, International Development or related discipline; graduation after internship period.
• Fluency in English with working knowledge of another bank language (Spanish, French, or Portuguese) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Support division for project origination with marketing materials and presentations.
• Assist Investment Officers with investment committee materials and coordinating with internal units.
• Collect and analyze data on debt capital markets and sustainable finance.
• Help automate reports, portfolio tracking tools, and project-monitoring processes using Excel and Power BI.
• Assist in data collection, validation, and analysis related to internal programs.
