Apply Now Latitude is seeking an experienced Capital Markets & Lending Transactions Attorney for an interim engagement with a prominent financial institution based in New York City. This attorney will support the institution’s in-house legal team on a range of complex transactions, including securities offerings, loan originations, and structured credit facilities.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a senior transactional attorney with capital markets and financial services experience to engage in high-level legal work with a sophisticated client in the heart of the financial industry.

Requirements for the Interim Capital Markets and Lending Transactions Attorney:

• At least 5–7 years of experience in capital markets and commercial lending transactions, ideally within a top-tier law firm and/or a large financial institution.
• Deep understanding of debt and equity markets, credit agreements, securities regulations, and laws and regulations applicable to commercial lending.
• Ability to manage large-scale transactions independently and communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong commercial judgment and a collaborative, client-focused mindset.
• Active bar membership in good standing.
• Excellent academic credentials from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Outstanding professional references.

Position Details for the Interim Capital Markets and Lending Transactions Attorney:

• Type of Role: Engagement
• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: 3-4 months with a possibility of an extension
• Schedule: Part-Time (20-30+ hours per week)
• Location: New York City (hybrid preferred but will consider remote candidates)

Compensation:
Pay : The annualized pay for this position ranges from $250,000 to $300,000+ when calculated on a full-time basis. Pay for contract engagements is based on multiple factors including but not limited to work experience, qualifications, credentials, location, market supply/demand, and the candidate’s preference (each candidate’s pay rate affects the client bill rate which can affect the candidate’s competitiveness for the position).

Benefits : In addition to pay, all Latitude Attorneys and other legal professionals working on contract engagements receive complimentary professional liability insurance coverage. All Latitude employees (including those on contract engagements) are also eligible for full benefits when working 20+ hours per week, including group medical, dental, and vision insurance, and complimentary group life, LTD and AD&D insurance. A qualified 401k plan is also available. Benefits-eligible Latitude Attorneys also receive a CLE and Professional Expense stipend.
