The City of Columbus is seeking an engineer to manage Public Service Department Capital Improvement Projects and Public Private Partnership Projects. The role requires Ohio Professional Engineer licensure and professional engineering experience, with responsibilities spanning plan reviews, staff supervision, and technical reporting.

You will coordinate with city departments and external partners, oversee project compliance, and represent the division in meetings with agencies and committees.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid State of Ohio Professional Engineer license
• Minimum 1 year of professional engineering experience
• Valid driver’s license
• Specialization in the discipline may be required for some positions

Responsabilités

• Manage and oversee Public Service Department Capital Improvement Projects and Public Private Partnership Projects.
• Review and interpret plans, specifications, design changes, schedules, and scope to ensure conformance with standards.
• Supervise and evaluate professional and technical staff involved in engineering projects.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain engineering files and project data.
• Liaise with City departments, inspectors, contractors and other stakeholders on project matters.
• Represent the division at meetings with local, state and federal agencies and technical committees.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, codes and sound engineering principles.
