Job summary

The STEELASTIC Co. in Northeast Ohio is seeking a Mechanical Assembler 1 to join our manufacturing team. You will assemble sub-assemblies and final products, follow drawings and BOMs, and support testing and refurbishment of mechanical assemblies.

This role requires hands-on use of hand tools, basic precision measurement, and the ability to read pneumatic and hydraulic schematics. Experience in machine building and a high school diploma preferred; overtime and weekend work possible.

Qualifications

• Assemble sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and systems per drawings and BOMs.
• Operate hand tools and small power tools safely.
• Learn to use precision measuring tools and interpret fitments/tolerances.
• Adhere to safety policies and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assemblies, final assemblies, and systems per manufacturing drawings.
• Inspect work before passing to the next operation.
• Perform required repairs/refurbishments to return assembly to operational state.
• Provide support to the production supervisor and collaborate with other departments on special work.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts.
