Utah Transit Authority's Capital Development team supports the advancement of transit investments across the Wasatch Front. This internship provides an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the early stages of transit project development, including project scoping, environmental review, funding & grant development, and preliminary design. You will support a variety of project development activities, including research, data collection & analysis, preparation of reports & presentations, and administrative & project coordination tasks.
This position is a part-time internship, not to exceed 29 hours per week, and is expected to last 6-12 months This is an in-person position that cannot be conducted remotely. If you do not live in the Salt Lake City or surrounding area, this position would require you to relocate for the full duration of the internship.
Education/Training: Currently enrolled as a junior-level college student or above at an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in urban planning, transportation planning, engineering, public administration, or a related field. Must have at least a 3.0 GPA. Transcripts and two letters of recommendation will be required prior to any offer of employment.
Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
Ability to conduct research, organize information, and communicate findings clearly.
Strong organizational skills.

Pay Rate: $20.88 per hour
