Host Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Staff Accountant/Senior Accountant to oversee capital asset accounting for a portfolio of hotels. You will ensure Capex activity is recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with GAAP and SOX, while collaborating with property teams, Capital Financial Services, and IT.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university.
• 2–4 years progressive accounting experience.
• CPA or progress toward CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Validate Capex spend submissions and ensure proper posting.
• Analyze WIP and Due To/From Manager for Owner-Funded Capex balances.
• Complete quarterly FF&E escrow reconciliations and resolve variances.
• Maintain alignment between Workday and Champion for cost reporting.
• Process asset dispositions and retirements in Workday.
• Support internal and external audits and prepare monthly and quarterly reports.
