Job summary

UTEX Industries in Houston, TX is seeking a CapEx Project Manager to lead planning, justification, execution, and startup of capital investments across our manufacturing facilities. You will manage approximately $3-$5 million in annual capital expenditures, focusing on safety, capacity, quality, and automation.

You will partner with Operations, Engineering, Maintenance, EHS, Supply Chain, Finance, and Plant Leadership to deliver measurable business results and advance our SQDICP operating model

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of manufacturing experience.
• 8+ years leading industrial capital projects.
• Experience managing multiple capital projects simultaneously.
• Demonstrated success managing capital budgets of $3M-$10M annually.
• Experience with ERP systems and manufacturing data systems.
• Front End Loading concepts, gate-ready decision packages, and FEL knowledge.
• Experience with EPC firms for engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning, and closeout.

Responsibilities

• Develop annual and multi-year capital plans aligned with UTEX growth and objectives.
• Prioritize projects using safety, capacity, reliability, quality, automation, and ROI.
• Manage capital requests, justifications, financial evaluations, and approvals.
• Lead planning, design, execution, and commissioning of capital projects.
• Oversee projects for rubber compounding and elastomer/thermoplastic equipment.
• Direct equipment startup, validation, and production release activities.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline

4 Year Degree
