Job summary

UTEX Industries seeks a hands‑on, transformational Sr. Director of Plant Operations to lead its largest manufacturing site. The role drives safety, quality, delivery, and cost while guiding the future‑state operating model across high‑mix production of engineered seals and components.

You will own planning, maintenance, reliability, asset performance and workforce development, partnering cross‑functionally to achieve sustained operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Proven track record as transformational manufacturing leader.
• At least 12 years of progressive plant leadership experience.
• Experience with high‑mix, low‑volume manufacturing.
• Experience leading significant operational change with clear vision and executable roadmaps.
• Molding experience across compression, injection, transfer, rubber, plastic, elastomer, or engineered‑material processes.
• Financially adept with budgets, cost control, and ROI development.
• Ability to translate strategy into action and drive sustained improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead all site operations including production, quality, planning, maintenance, EHS, shipping, engineering, tooling and support functions.
• Serve as transformational site leader and define future‑state operating model; drive changes in process, systems and capability.
• Own plant performance across safety, quality, delivery, cost, asset reliability, labor productivity, and customer service.
• Build integrated planning spanning demand, capacity, labor, materials, maintenance and production scheduling.
• Establish discipline with metrics, daily/weekly reviews, visual controls, standard work, escalation, and accountability.
• Strengthen use of data and performance measures to drive fact‑based decisions and identify improvement opportunities.
• Improve first‑pass yield, reduce scrap, control processes and drive root‑cause analysis for continuous improvements.
• Develop and execute a maintenance and asset reliability strategy for higher availability and OEE.
• Develop multi‑year capital and facility improvement roadmap to reduce manual dependency and improve productivity.
• Partner with Corporate Engineering to ensure capital projects are well executed and benefits realized.
• Assess organizational capabilities and build leadership, skills and resources for near‑term and long‑term success.
• Collaborate with plant controller/FP&A to present operational and financial performance; partner with HR to develop talent.
