Job summary

IPM Integrated Project Management Company in Minneapolis seeks a Project Engineer with CAPEX experience in manufacturing to lead capital initiatives and drive OpEx improvements across client transformations.

You will partner with client leaders to translate business strategy into executable roadmaps, manage scope, schedule and budget, and embed Lean and Continuous Improvement into project delivery. Some travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field.
• At least 6 years delivering capital projects in consulting or matrixed environments.
• Strong capital project management practices and operational excellence methods.
• Experience across Life Sciences, Consumer, or Industrial sectors.
• Experience with senior stakeholders as owner’s representative.
• PM certifications and Lean/Six Sigma a plus.
• Familiarity with GMP, FDA, OSHA, ISO, and environmental requirements.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure successful delivery outcomes across end-to-end or phase-driven projects.
• Manage projects within scope, schedule, and budget per IPM standards.
• Advise client leaders; translate strategy into capital roadmaps.
• Lead FEL, scope definition, and design readiness through execution.
• Embed Lean, OpEx, and continuous improvement in capital planning.
• Lead capital initiatives in GMP-regulated environments with QA/Regulatory.
• Integrate capital projects into site OpEx and quality models.
• Support growth, automation, sustainability, and productivity investments.
• Identify risks and lead mitigation planning.
• Coach client PMs and develop capital playbooks and delivery frameworks.
• Present executive and project readouts.
