Job summary

Bachem Americas is seeking a Procurement Project Manager to lead CAPEX procurement from initiation through closeout. You will align procurement strategy with project execution to support cost, schedule, quality, safety, compliance, and technical requirements.

In this role you will collaborate with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Quality, Operations, EHS, and suppliers; develop procurement plans, track milestones and budgets, and manage contracts, change orders, and risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business, finance or related field.
• 7+ years procurement, sourcing, or project management experience.
• 5+ years supporting capital projects in regulated industries preferred.
• Experience with ERP and procurement systems such as SAP and Ariba.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Finance, Legal, Quality, Operations, EHS, and suppliers.
• Develop and execute project procurement plans aligned with schedules.
• Track procurement milestones, supplier performance, and budgets.
• Support sourcing strategies, RFQs/RFPs, bid evaluations, and analytics.
• Manage contracts, change orders, risk mitigation, and supplier claims.
• Prepare procurement reports and risk assessments for leadership.
• Support startup and closeout activities including contract administration.
