Job summary

CareerNerds, LLC in Georgia is seeking a CapEx Procurement Manager to lead sourcing of food manufacturing equipment, engineering services, construction, and facility projects. The role partners with engineering, operations, quality, finance, suppliers, and global procurement teams; requires on-site work in Newnan and occasional travel domestically and internationally.

The position emphasizes full procurement lifecycle, supplier selection, contract negotiations, and cross-functional collaboration

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Economics, or related field.
• 10+ years of procurement, engineering, or a related discipline.
• 7+ years direct CapEx procurement experience.
• Experience sourcing food manufacturing or processing equipment and related services.
• Knowledge of CapEx and MRO sourcing, procurement systems, and international equipment procurement.
• Proven ability to negotiate complex, high-value contracts and communicate commercial risks.
• Strong project management, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; on-site role; Mandarin/Cantonese a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies for equipment, engineering, construction, and facility projects.
• Manage RFIs, RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluation, negotiations, PO, invoicing, and vendor performance.
• Define specs, schedules, and supplier expectations with engineering and operations.
• Negotiate contracts and multi-year agreements, addressing price, delivery, warranties, and risk.
• Apply total cost of ownership analysis to guide purchasing decisions.
• Identify qualified suppliers and gather market intelligence to improve value and continuity.
• Monitor procurement performance, cost savings, and project milestones.
• Coordinate with global teams and support international equipment purchases.
