The MSPCA-Angell Cape Adoption Center in Centerville, MA seeks an experienced Adoption Center Manager to lead staff and volunteers, oversee animal intake, care, and adoptions, and collaborate with behavior/medical teams. This full-time role requires strong leadership, compassionate care, and a commitment to a positive center culture.

Qualifications

• 2 years of management or supervisory experience (non-profit preferred).
• 2 years of experience working in animal sheltering, veterinary services, or comparable social services fields.
• Bachelor's degree.
• A compassionate, people-centered leader who believes deeply in helping animals and their families.
• Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
• A commitment to maintaining the positive, supportive culture we’ve built.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Guide and support an incredible team of staff and volunteers.
• Work alongside the behavior and medical teams with focus on quality of life and decreased length of stay.
• Create positive, respectful experiences for adopters, surrenderers, and visitors.
• Lead group discussions, trainings, scheduling, performance development, and team culture.
• Lead daily adoption center shelter operations, including intake, care, adoption, and euthanasia of animals.
• Collaborate with volunteer and foster care coordinator to foster a positive culture and integration of volunteers.
• Provide euthanasia counseling with compassionate care.
• Model kindness and professionalism expected by MSPCA.
