Job summary

MSPCA-Angell is seeking an experienced Adoption Center Manager at our Cape location in Centerville. The role is full-time (40 hours/week) with weekends required, offering a salary between $65,000 and $75,000 depending on experience.

You will lead staff and volunteers, coordinate with behavior and medical teams, and ensure compassionate care for animals and positive experiences for adopters. Relocation assistance is available for out-of-state applicants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of management or supervisory experience.
• 2 years of experience in animal sheltering, veterinary services, or related social services.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• Spanish proficiency is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Guide and support staff and volunteers.
• Collaborate with behavior and medical teams to improve quality of life and reduce length of stay.
• Create positive experiences for adopters, surrenderers, and visitors.
• Lead trainings, scheduling, performance development, and team culture.
• Oversee daily adoption center operations including intake, care, adoption, and euthanasia.
• Foster volunteer integration and positive culture with foster care coordinators.
• Provide euthanasia counseling with compassionate care.
• Model kindness and professionalism expected by MSPCA.
