Job summary

FedEx Freight is seeking a hybrid Carrier Coordinator in the Northeast Ohio area. You will serve as the frontline contact for customer service inquiries related to carrier activities, coordinate with carriers on cost, and negotiate best costs per transaction as part of daily operations.

While this position is hybrid, qualified candidates must be able to commute to Downtown Akron, Ohio or Green Bay, Wisconsin.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Frontline individual contributor role that interacts with the carriers. Selects carriers to support sales opportunities, providing customer service, solves routine issues, and provides pricing negotiation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provide day to day support to operational activities such as communication, transactional negotiation with carriers on cost, and ensuring to obtain best cost per transaction.
• Identifies and escalates unresolved customer issues, continuous improvement, and new service opportunities to leadership.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma/ GED
• 0-1 year Operations or related experience in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $17.30- $22.25 depending on experience.
