Qualifications

• GED or high school diploma required.
• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in good standing.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during summer.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry.
• Participate in daily transportation brokerage activities; verify carrier authenticity, maintain shipment records, and monitor freight movement.
• Understand market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges to support negotiations and contribute to revenue and margin goals.
• Observe and practice serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers: gain competence in how service failures are proactively communicated to minimize cost and operational inefficiencies while providing best-in-class service.
• Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows, enable carrier access to load management, and promote efficiency.
