Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. invites applications for the Integrated Capacity Solutions Intern, Fall 2026 in Lowell, AR.

This part-time internship provides hands-on exposure to transportation brokerage operations, market dynamics, pricing strategies, and carrier negotiations while supporting revenue and margin goals. Under supervision, interns gain practical knowledge of load management, service execution, and use of J.B. Hunt tools to streamline workflows.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry
• Become involved and participate in daily transportation brokerage activities; verify carrier authenticity, maintain accurate shipment records, and monitor freight movement to uphold service expectations
• Build an understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges that support carrier negotiations and contribute to revenue and margin goals
• Observe and practice serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers: gain competence in how service failures are proactively communicated to minimize cost and operational inefficiencies while providing best-in-class service
• Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows, enable carrier access to load management, and promote efficiency
