J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. is offering an Integrated Capacity Solutions Intern position for Fall 2026.

The role provides hands-on experience in transportation brokerage operations, exposure to market dynamics, carrier negotiation strategies, and tools that enable efficient load management and service execution. Under supervision, you will learn to establish a carrier base, attain optimal margins, and contribute to best-in-class service.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.
• Junior or Senior level preferred
• Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and shifting priorities and directives
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.)
• Willingness to work flexible hours
• This position is not eligible for employment-based sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry
• Participate in daily transportation brokerage activities; verify carrier authenticity, maintain records, monitor freight movement to uphold service expectations
• Build understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges that support negotiations and margins
• Observe and practice serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers to minimize cost and inefficiencies while delivering service
• Learn about the technology and tools used to streamline workflows and load management

Key Responsibilities:

• Gain exposure and understanding of the transportation industry
• Become involved and participate in daily transportation brokerage activities; verify carrier authenticity, maintain accurate shipment records, and monitor freight movement to uphold service expectations
• Build an understanding of market trends, pricing strategies, and capacity challenges that support carrier negotiations and contribute to revenue and margin goals
• Observe and practice serving as a liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers: gain competence in how service failures are proactively communicated to minimize cost and operational inefficiencies while providing best‑in‑class service
• Learn about the technology and tools J.B. Hunt leverages to streamline workflows, enable carrier access to load management, and promote efficiency

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program OR graduate degree program in good standing at an accredited college or university.
• Must be able to work 40 hours a week during the summer.

Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include skills, education,experience, geography, and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position may beeligible forannual bonus and incentives based on profitability or volumes in accordance with the terms of theCompany’s bonusand incentive plans, as applicable and in effect from time to time.
