The role focuses on negotiating optimal rates with carriers to meet load expectations while maintaining margins. You will market and utilize the Carrier360 platform to tender loads and ensure timely pickup and delivery, while building a reliable carrier base and delivering best-in-class service. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and collaboration

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics or related fields.
• Willingness to work across multiple shifts including nights and weekends if needed.
• Strong professional communication skills.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships.
• Ability to analyze situations with accuracy and make informed judgments.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a dynamic environment.

Responsabilités

• Negotiate with carriers for optimal purchase rates to meet revenue and margin goals.
• Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers.
• Manage freight in transit by obtaining updates from carriers to monitor movement and ensure on-time pickup and delivery.
• Utilize Carrier360 Platform to tender loads and maintain accurate shipment records.
• Proactively communicate service failures to internal support teams to minimize costs and inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote best-in-class service and safety.
• Analyze market trends to optimize negotiation tactics and carrier base.
• Ensure freight is covered in a timely manner and provide updates as required.

The incumbent will market the J.B. Hunt Carrier360 platform to carriers in order to increase efficiency and freight movement visibility.
