J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. is seeking a Capacity Procurement Representative - ICS to negotiate freight rates, establish a carrier base, and ensure timely load coverage.

The role requires coordinating with internal teams, carriers, and customers to deliver best-in-class service using the Carrier360 platform. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and experience in transportation/logistics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with up to 1 year experience in transportation/logistics, business administration, account management, and/or equivalent military experience
• Ability to work across multiple shifts including nights and/or weekends if needed
• Strong professional communication skills and ability to build healthy relationships
• Proven ability to analyze information accurately and make informed decisions
• Experience in Microsoft Programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment
• Experience holding people accountable and handling difficult conversations
• Proven track record delivering customer service and transportation solutions

Responsabilités

• Negotiate with carriers for the optimal purchase rate to meet revenue and profit margin goals
• Act as liaison between internal stakeholders and carriers
• Manage all freight in transit with updates to monitor movement and ensure on-time pickup and delivery
• Tender loads via Carrier360 and maintain accurate shipment/customer records
• Proactively communicate service issues to internal teams to minimize costs
• Collaborate with internal teams to promote best-in-class service and safety
• Grow the carrier base and leverage Carrier360 for efficiency and automation
• Verify carrier authenticity and tracking prior to pickup
• Stay current on market trends to adjust negotiation tactics
• Understand customer service expectations and provide timely transportation updates

The incumbent will market the J.B. Hunt Carrier360 platform to carriers in order to increase efficiency and freight movement visibility.
